I'd like to see Avatar - the trailer seems awesome..

Is James Cameron's $500m 3D blockbuster Avatar set to revolutionise cinema?

What did you think of the film, if you've seen it? I liked it but was mostly watching it for entertainment rather than worrying over war related subtext etc so it was fun. Plot may have been rather basic but at least I wasn't watching my clock for half the time :-D

It'll be a few years until I see it. I always wait for movies to be on TV.

I've heard more about the special effects than the story. No one say's, oh you have to see this the story is great. Its always, the special effects are cutting edge and so realistic. I want to know the story, not watch alot of CGI.

I've heard that the story isn't the best, but apparently, the effects are so awesome that they make up for it.

The effects are good. The flying creatures and all the other ones were really impressive looking. There are some other 3D movies coming out later this year & I intend to go see them too. I don't think 3D would look good on laptop screen :pc:

We watched Shreck 3D extra (on the DVD), on the computer. It was great  (That was a few years ago)
